Humanities/Social Sciences Alumni Panel

Want to work in Public Policy, Education, Nonprofits, Law? Find out what it is really like working in these fields and how you can position yourself for future success from alumni industry leaders. 

This event will focus on careers in Humanities/Social Sciences fields and feature NYU alumni working in this field, from regions across the United States. During the event, alumni will discuss their professional experiences and offer advice for students interested in pursuing a career in Humanities/Social Sciences as part of a panel, and then networking will occur in a general Q & A session.

Panelists:

  • Nancy Strohmeyer (CAS '83) was Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx County District Attorney Office for 3 years, is now Chief of the Giglio Unit- the lead unit that works with partner law enforcement agencies to obtain materials needed to satisfy the Office's discovery and Brady obligations under state and federal law.

  • Genesis Bellot (CAS '18, WAGNER '22) majored in Public Policy and now works at an education nonprofit in the humanities/social sciences as Site Director for Saga Education.

  • Jessica Bynoe (CAS '04, WAGNER '05) majored in Psychology. She is VP & Chief Strategy Officer at PENCIL, Inc. a nonprofit organization.

  • Zack Davidson (CAS '12) majored in Environmental Studies. He works in Sustainability and Environmental Restoration as a Director at Ecosystem Investment Partners.

  • Jonathan Reid (CAS 2008, major: Psychology; STEINHARDT 2010) works in nonprofit as the Senior Program Officer at LA84 Foundation.
