One for the Future: Career Planning for CAS First Years is a virtual combined networking and Q&A session with CAS alumni on Wednesday, April 7th at 7pm. This event is an opportunity for students to interact and learn from CAS alums that work in the social sciences, STEM, healthcare and other fields. Once students join the Zoom meeting, introductions of the alumni and agenda will be made. After introductions, students will be able to enter breakout rooms with each alum to hear about their experiences more in-depth. They will also be able to ask personalized questions — with the First Year Class Board serving as moderators — and get the contact information of these alums to follow up in the future. With this event, we hope that first year students are able to learn from the journeys of these alumni as they transitioned from and applied their NYU CAS education. As such, One for the Future aims to provide students with the skills and the aforementioned insight and knowledge to get a head start on their career plans and envision their next steps.
